For your kids’ sake, the school needs the family. How to help him along his school years:

-          From his first days at school, take the time to listen to your kid speaking about his school life.

-          Answer his questions.

-          Get interested in what he does:

·         Take a moment to check his notebook, his assessments

·         Check he does his homework

·         Read and Sign de school diary

·         Do not hesitate to contact the teaching staff

·         If you can, get involved in the school activities

-          Take part in the meeting about your kid schooling

-          Meet with the teacher if you want to

If your kid has difficulty, it is better to organize a meeting. Several solutions can be offered by the teaching staff, help within the school or from the outside. This link between parents and teacher allow the kid to feel good at school. It promotes his interest and his motivation.

Each student is able to improve and to succeed if he feels that adults trust him to do so. He needs to be supported.
